INFORMATION ABOUT OWNERS
Mahmut DEMIR was graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey as Civil Engineer in 1990. He had his Master’s Degree from Thrace University, Tekirdag, Turkey with a thesis on “Defining Quality Control of Mix Design Optimisation”. He had worked at one of the biggest prefabricated elements company for 5 years as Production Chief and Quality Control Chief. He had also worked in the Akcansa, partner of HeidelbergCement Group, belongs a giant group of Turkey, Sabanci Holding for 10 years. His positions there were Production Chief, Quality Control Chief, Research and Development Chief. Since 2005, he has been running his construction materials laboratory as a partner. He also has been consulting to some ready mix concrete companies and to some projects. He is also an auditor of Turkish Accreditation Association and he audits third party laboratories. His expertises are; precast and prefabricated concrete technology, ready mix concrete technology, new concrete products, research and development on concrete, concrete floors, concrete repair, setting up concrete plants and managing concrete plant operations. He had also some papers issued in scientific journals and submitted or presented in national and international symposiums and conferences. These papers are listed below:

He had also worked in the Akcansa, partner of HeidelbergCement Group, belongs a giant group of Turkey, Sabanci Holding for 11 years. His positions there were Production Chief, Quality Control Chief, Research and Development Chief. Since 2005, he has been running his construction materials laboratory as a partner. COMPANY INFORMATION
Betontek Engineering Construction Technology Laboratory was established in July 2005 by Mahmut DEMIR and Resat SONMEZ. The company is approved and certified by “Republic of Turkey Minister of Public Works and Housing Directorate of Structural Works”. The laboratory is equipped by necessary equipment to carry on some tests of certain construction materials and is audited annually by the auditors of Minister of Public Works and Housing Directorate of Structural Works. Company’s mission is to carry out certified tests in terms of being objective, obeying laws and specifications. Our reports are technical reports as well as they are accepted as official reports and they are valid at municipalities, courts, legal offices, governmental departments and in litigation surveys. At the time, there are 19 technical staff working in the company.
